David Lashley, formerly of Clayton,
died at 8 Wednesday evening at
the home of his step-father and
mother, Mr. and Mrs. James Green,
716 Emmett street, following a long
illness of tuberculosis, aged 31
years.
He was born in Clayton, son of
Mrs. Henrietta Lashley Green and
the late Peter Lashley, and had always
lived in Clayton until last fall
when he moved to this city and had
since resided here.
Besides his step-father and mother,
he leaves two brothers. Ernest Lashley
of Carthage, and Harry Lashley
of this city and two sisters, the
Misses Grace and Anna Lashley, both
of this city.
The funeral will be held at 2 Friday
afternoon from the Green residence
716 Emmett street. Rev James
H. Keeling, pastor of Faith Chapel,
officiating. Interment will be in
Carthage cemetery
