Edward "Eddie" Mitchell was the third child of fourteen children born to Albert John Mitchell (1847-1923) and Malinda Ardelia Nicholson (1856-1913) all at Republic City, Washington Township, Republic Co., KS. He was the twin brother of Frederick Nelson Mitchell (1878-1960).
On 10 Feb 1901 he married Eva Estella Kephart at Republic Co., KS. They had two children Ruby Mae Mitchell (Huscher) (1901-1996) and Amy Pearl (Phillips) (1904-1988)
"Eddie" Mitchell died 20 Apr 1936 and is buried beside his wife, Stella, at Highland Cemetery at Lawton, OK. His daughters are buried there, too.
