Rosemary Spencer Beard, 80, of Claypool, Beaver Dam Lake, died Jan. 17, 2013, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.
She was born May 15, 1932, in Oswego, Tippecanoe Lake, to Harry and Dessie Harrington Spencer. She married William Beard, who preceded her in death.

She was the supervisor of Bradner Village Retirement Center, Marion. She graduated from Oswego High School in 1950. She was a member of Beaver Dam Church, Akron, and the Widow/Birthday Club of the church.

Surviving are a daughter, Ramara (and spouse Wayne) Hendrix, Claypool; a son, Steven (and spouse Diana) Rish, Akron, Beaver Dam Lake; 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Corinnia Rish, Claypool; and three sisters: Betty Spencer, Georgia; Joan Rumple, Upland; and June Hohman, Florida. She was preceded in death by a son, Rick C. Rish, who died March 4, 2008; four brothers: John, Bob, Bud and Charles; and two sisters, Caroline and Lousie.

Services will be at noon Monday at Hartzler Funeral Home, 305 W. Rochester St., Akron, officiated by Pastor Butch Troke. Burial will be in Akron Cemetery. Calling is from 10 a.m. to noon Monday at the funeral home.
