Madge Arney, an 86-year-old resident of Liberty, died on Thursday, Jan. 22, 2004 at a Liberty health care center. She was a former resident of Gilman City.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 25, 2004 at the Roberson Funeral Home in Bethany. Burial was in the Spring [Springer] Chapel Cemetery at Gilman City.
Mrs. Arney was born in Harrison County on July 9, 1917, the daughter of Gene and Bessie Ann Ritter Hall. She married in October 1939 to Frank T. Arney, who preceded her in death on Nov.6, 1998. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Arney is survived by two daughters, Debbie Easton and her husband, Mike, of Gladstone, and Mary Ann DeGraw of Trenton; one brother, Clyde [Hall] of the state of Oregon; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Zelma; two brothers, Jack and Fayne Hall; and two sisters, Viola Hall and Maude Wright.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Alzheimer's research. They may be left at or mailed to the Roberson Funeral Home at PO Box 46, Bethany, MO 64424.
