Mrs. Lila Cleo Minatree Barnes died Sunday morning at her home on DeSota Street in Fayetteville following a short illness. She was 76 years old. She was the widow of H. T. Barnes, who died in 1965.
Funeral services were at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Higgins Funeral Home, with the Rev. James Fee, pastor of the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial was in Riverview Memorial Gardens.
A native of Giles County, she was the daughter of the late David and Mary Jane Dugger Minatree. She was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. O. S. Allen of Fayetteville; three grandsons, Tommy Lee, Jimmy Ray, and Rex Lynn, all of Fayetteville, and two great-grandchildren, Theresa Louise Allen and William Orville Allen, both of Fayetteville.
