Funeral services will be held for J. T. Gray of Heflin on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden. Officiating will be Rev. Joshua Gray. Interment will follow at Bistineau Cemetery in Heflin. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. Tuesday until service time.
J. T. was born February 15, 1917 in Hortman and entered into rest January 20, 2013 in Shreveport. He was a member of Heflin Baptist Church.
His wife of 74 years, Audrey Reeve Gray preceded him in death.
He is survived by his son, Whayne L. Gray and wife Nelwyn of Malvern, Arkansas; and five daughters: Nelwyn Gray of Shreveport, Judy Murphy and husband Harry of Minden, Louise Adams and husband Ronnie of Ruston, Diane Moreland and husband Joe of Haughton and Debbie Fletcher and husband Mark of Plano, Texas.
J. T. is also survived by his loving grandchildren: Mike Gray, Danny Gray, Tony Gray, Jimmy Gray, Dr. Michael Gray, Jackson Gray, Rebecca Murphy, Jody Adams, Jill Adams Parkman, Jennifer Moreland, and Heather Moreland McKenzie; 18 great-grandchildren and 4 great great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
