Born in family house on Gilpin Ave in Wilmington, DE. Went to Tower Hill School then to Hill School in Pottstown, PA. Went to the Navel Academy in Annapolis and graduated. Was in WWII commanding Destroyer in the South Pacific at age 27. Worked on the clean up of Bikini Atoll following the war. After leaving the Navy after 26 years he taught Mathematics at Wilmington HS, Conrad but 20 at Wilmington Friends School. Husband who lost his wife when she was 48 and he never dated nor remarried. Father to E. Blandy Harvey and M.Cooke Harvey. Grandfather to M.Schraepfer Harvey and Cooke C. Harvey of TL Harvey and M Cooke Harvey.
