Edmond Lacy was born on August 29, 1838.
On October 30, 1850, Edmond is 12 years old and living with his parents in Covington, Troy Township, Fountain Co., IN.
On December 9, 1858, Edmond was married to Elizabeth Layton in Fountain County by F.Q. Martin, M.G. Eighteen months later, Edmond is back at home with his parents and a one year old son, named Charlie. Elizabeth is not listed and it is not known at this time whether she died or they were divorced.
On June 22, 1860, Edmond is listed as living with his parents in Fountain Co., Troy Township, IN. He is 21 years old, a farmer with personal property valued at $450. Also listed is Charly Lacy, 1 year old.
On June 5, 1862, Edmund and Mary Jane were married in Fountain Co., Indiana by a minister.
On May 23, 1865, Edmund and Mary Jane were living in Hope, Bartholomew Co., Indiana as this was the date their daughter, Carros was born.
By March 1, 1868, Edmond and Mary Jane were living in Danville in Vermillion Co., IL as this was the date that their daughter, Nellie was born.
On July 16, 1870, Edmond and "Jennie" are living in Danville, Vermilion Co., Illinois. He is 28 years old, a harness maker, born in Indiana and the value of his personal property is $100. Mary Jane is 23 and keeps house. Their two daughters, "Corie", born in Indiana and Nellie born in Illinois are also living with them aged 5 and 2 respectively.
Very little is known about Edmond since he was not well liked by his family. According to Margaret Ellis in Veedersburg, Indiana, he was married at least four times. He had a son named Charles from his first marriage. It is from his second marriage that we descend. His third was in Kansas and his fourth in Danville, IL.
On April 20, 1910, Edmond is living on Depot Street in Rossville
Village, Vermillion Co., Illinois. He is a boarder in a hotel run
by the Trough family. He says he is widowed, 71 years old, born in
Indiana and a harness maker by trade.
Edmond died on October 26, 1919 at 4:00 AM at the Vermilion County Indiana Poor House. Information for his death certificate was provided by his daughter, Mrs. Harry Voltz. He is listed as a widower. Date of birth: August 29, (no year given); age 81 years, 1 month, and 27 days; occupation harness maker; parents- Fielding Lacy and Martha Glover; cause of death- nephritis and old age.
Edmond was buried October 27, 1919 in Clinton Co., Indiana. No cemetery is listed on the death certificate, however his obituary says Riverview Cemetery.

FORMER CLINTON MAN DIES AT COUNTY FARM
The body of Edward F. Lacy, about 80 years old, was brought to Clinton yesterday following his death at the county farm where he had been for three years. Mr. Lacy lived in Clinton for 15 years before going to the farm and was employed by E.K. Weirek as a harness maker. He also ran a small shop on Mulberry Street for a time. Death was caused by a general breakdown due to the infirmities of old age. Mr. Lacy is survived by a daughter Mrs. Harry Voltz of Covington, Indiana; a daughter living in Chicago; and a son, Charles whose present whereabouts is unknown. A short funeral service was held at the Brown & Hopkins Chapel at 2 o'clock this afternoon. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery.
