JARECKI--Dominic P. Jarecki dies; rites Monday
Dominic P. Jarecki, 70, Rt. 4, Columbus, died Thursday in St. Mary's hospital. He was in failing health the past year.
Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at St. Stanislaus Catholic church, Duncan, with burial in the parish cemetery. Officiating will be his son, the Rev. Reynold Jarecki, OFM.
Body will lie in state at McKown funeral home after 1 p.m. Sunday and rosary will be prayed there at 7:30 p.m. Sunday by Holy Name society; 8 p.m. by parish and relatives.
Mr. Jarecki, a retired farmer, had spent his lifetime in this vicinity. Son of the late Steve and Angeline Tryba Jarecki, he was born at Columbus April 27, 1896 and attended St. Stanislaus school, Duncan.
He married Emelia Liss Oct. 11, 1921 and they lived near Columbus. He was a member of St. Stanislaus parish and Holy Name society.
His wife died in August, 1966. Surviving are 10 children, Eugene and Dominic, Jr., Denver; Mrs. Eugene (Patricia) Gomes, New Orleans, La.; Mrs. Frank (Delores) Filipowic, Mrs. Leon (Janet) Pruch and Sister M. Imelda OSF, Omaha; Rev. Reynold Jarecki OFM, Watkins Glen, N.Y.; Theresa, Lincoln; Joseph R. and Sister M. Dominic OSF, Columbus.
Other survivors include 21 grandchildren, three brothers, Emory of Lindsay, Stanley and Alois of Columbus, two sisters, Mrs. John (Adel) Podraza and Mrs. Tony (Elizabeth) Zabawa, Columbus.
