Lou Adams Rites Set Thursday
Funeral services for Lou L. Adams, 33, a former Guymon resident who died of injuries as the result of an industrial accident near Goessel, Kan., Monday, will be conducted from the First Presbyterian Church in Guymon Thursday at 3 p.m.
Rev. Harland Collins, pastor; Dr. George C. White, pastor emeritus; and Rev. Harold O. Wood, pastor of the Straight Christian Church will officiate. Interment will be in the Elmhurst Cemetery under the direction of the Henson Funeral Home of Guyimon. Friends may call at the funeral home at anytime.
The son of Harry and Louie Adams, he was born in April 13, 1936, at Liberal . He attended Guymon Public School, graduating from Guymon High School. He also attended Panhandle State College and Oklahoma State University.
Adams was married to Phyllis Jean McRae on Jan 31, 1957 at Clayton, New Mexico, and they had made their home at Wichita, Kan. for the past 18 months.
Adams was a pipeline foreman for Cities Services Gas Company.
He was a member of the Presbyterian Church.
Besides his wife, Phyllis, he is survived by three daughters, Ronda Lynn, Sheri Jean, and Tracy Jo, all of the home; his mother, Mrs. Louie Adams of Guymon; and two brothers, Robert Dean Adams of Panama City, Canal Zone and Harry Don Adams of Overland Park, Kan
A Lou Adams Memorial has been established.
