I do not find a Will in my main reference book about a possible will for Ann Hodges Blitch! My own notes indicate the following:
The Toris overan Effingham county for the last few years of the Rev. War. Mrs. Ann Hodges Blitch, with her children, refugeed to Beaufort District, SC about 1778. They did not return to Effingham County until the 1790's. Ann having been widowed drew land in the 10th Dist. of Irwin County, Georgia and in the 1820 land lottery, same being granted to her as the widow of the Rev. War soldier and she sold this land to her son-in-law, William Hurst, March 23, 1824 (deed book L., page 237, Effingham County). She died about 1835 at an advanced age. This is all that I have for you on this. Perhaps some of the Hodges researchers might have more info on this woman. I can find the will of Thomas, but nothing more on her. Most ladies back then did not leave a will.
