Joaniche/Ioaniche "Nicholas" Vintila/Vintilo/Vintillo was born 25 April 1888 in Laslau Mare, Romania to Jonickie Vintila and Anica Ivizi. He immigrated to America, landing in New York on June 18, 1912 aboard the "Kronprinz Fredrick Wilhelm." He stated he was on his way to Alliance, Ohio to visit his uncle, John Bogdan. On October 27, 1924, he married Rose/Rosa Resch/Reasch in Jerome, Jerome County, Idaho. They were the parents of nine children, six of whom reached adulthood. Nick and Rose later divorced. Nick was a farmer in the Yelm area of Thurston County Washington for a long time and died 29 June 1959 in McKenna, Pierce County, Washington.
