Son of William Goldsborough and Elizabeth Robins. A child named Greenberry appears on the headstone of his mother, Elizabeth Robins Goldsborough, according to "Historic Graves of Maryland and the District of Columbia," published 1908 by Helen Ridgely. The inscription reads: "In Memory of Elizabeth Goldsborough who Died the 2nd Day of Octr. 1746. Aged 36 years, and of Greenberry, Henrietta Maria, William and Elizabeth Her children, this Erected by their most Affectionate and Sorrowful Husband and Father William Goldsborough." This headstone was moved from the Robins cemetery at " Peach Blossom" to the Ashby-Goldsborough Family Cemetery about 1962. But there is no mention of the remains having been moved.
