The funeral service will be at St. John's Lutheran Church, Shell Creek, with Rev. Peter Jark-Swain officiating. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Gass Haney Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Memorials are suggested to St. John's Lutheran Church or the donor's choice.
Alice Schreiber was born March 11, 1936, in Albion, Nebraska, to Harry and Stella (Allard) Andrews. She attended kindergarten and first grade in Albion. The family then moved to Columbus where Alice attended Field Grade School, Columbus Jr. High School, and graduated in 1954 from Kramer High School. She went on to attend Nebraska Wesleyan College in Lincoln. On June 23, 1957, Alice was united in marriage to Carroll Schreiber at the United Methodist Church in Columbus. Her wedding was the last wedding to be held in the old Methodist Church.
Alice was a homemaker and a partner with Carroll on the family farm north of Columbus. She taught Sunday school for several years at St. John's Lutheran Church. Alice also helped Carroll with the secretarial work for Lakeview School District and Platte County District #9 Schools. She enjoyed her pets, doing word puzzles, and watching game shows.
