Louis Cascone, 77, of West Hartford, died Monday (July 6, 1992) at New Britian General Hospital. Born in Figline, Viglinturo Cosenza, Italy, he immigrated to the United States on July 4, 1934. Mr. Cascone had lived in West Hartford since 1953. He was the owner of The Shoe Corner, a former retail shoe store in Newington, retiring in 1977. He served in the U.S. Army in World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy (Degan) Sejerman Cascone of West Hartford; his two daughters and one son; his sister, Elvira D'Alessandro in Italy; and his three grandchildren. He was preceded by his first wife, Sarah (Morello) Cascone.
The funeral will be Thursday, 9:15 a.m., from the Molloy Funeral Home, West Hartford, with a Mass of Christian Burial, 10:00 a.m., at St. Peter Claver Church, West Hartford. Burial will be in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Calling hours are Wednesday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., at the funeral home. Donations in his memory may be made to the American Caner Society, Hartford.
