Cora Lue Brewer, 64, 304 S. 18th St., Herrin, died at 5:30 p. m. Sunday at Herrin Hospital after an illness of eight weeks. She was a patient in the hospital one day, and was a former resident of Carbondale.

She was born April 29, 1895, in Okawville, a daughter of Andrew G. and Sarah E. Campbell Dewey. She was married to Fred H. Brewer, who survives.

Besides her husband, she leaves sons Ryburn Brewer, Marion, and Carl Brewer, Zeigler; daughter, Mrs. Mary Lukenbill, Dixon; four grandchildren; sisters Mrs. May Woods, Carbondale, Mrs. Odessa Walsh, Hopkins, Minn.; brothers John Dewey, Lansing, Mich., Frank Dewey, Buffalo, Minn., and Rolla Dewey, Hopkins, Minn.
