Augie first served as a missionary (1906 to 1910) to Guatemala under the auspices of the Pentecostal Mission of Nashville. In 1910 she went to Bolivia and was employed as a teacher in the American Institute of La Paz. In 1919 Miss Augie was sent to Peru; she did not return to the U.S. until 1926. Her last assignment was to Benque Viejo (1936 to 1943).
