JAMES V. CONNOLLY EXPIRES AT HOME NEAR MURRAYVILLE
The death of James V. Connolly occurred Sunday morning at 6:30 o'clock at his home two and one-half miles northwest of Murrayville, after a short illness. Mr. Connolly was a lifetime resident of Morgan county, having been actively engaged in farming for many years.
He was born Feb. 5, 1878 in this county, the son of Martin and Mary English Connolly, natives of Ireland. They were parents of 13 children, of whom but one is now living.
Mr. Connolly's wife, Elizabeth, preceded him in death in 1931. He is survived by five children, Rev. Father Thomas Connolly, Taylorville; Mrs. Thomas Crabtree, Jacksonville; Mrs. Lloyd Ruyle, Wood River; Mrs. James Casey and Martin Connolly, both of Murrayville.
A brother, Peter Connolly of Jerseyville, is the sole survivor of a 13 brothers and sisters.
The remains were prepared for burial at the Thompson Funeral Home in Murrayville, and were returned to the residence Monday morning.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock (Standard Time) at St. Bartholomew's Catholic church in Murrayville, Rev. D. F. Lydon officiating. Burial will be made in St. Bartholomew cemetery.
