Marilyn King Himes, 76, formerly of 3060 Aberdeen Ave., Millcreek, died Tuesday, February 8, 2005 at Integrated Health Services of Erie at Bayside following an extended illness.
She was born October 4, 1928 in Butler, PA a daughter of the late Fredrick D. and Vera Kilmer King.
She was a graduate of Big Run High School and worked as a retail clerk for Trasks and Carlisles for over 35 years. She attended Christ United Methodist Church, loved her family and enjoyed flowers.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years Kenneth L. Himes in 2003, and a sister Liddy King Anderson.
She is survived by her daughter Pennee McLallen and her husband David of McKean; two sons: Kenneth “Kirk” Himes and his wife Geraldine of Loganville, GA; Nard Himes and his wife Linda of Lawrenceville, GA; two sisters: Eleanor Smith and her husband George of Lynchburg, VA; Dorothy Casaday and her husband Marvin of Eustis, FL; a brother, Fred D. King and his wife Carol, Mckean; 8 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home 3816 West Lake Rd. on Saturday from 12 noon until the time of service at 2 pm. with Rev. David D. Janz.
