A veteran of World War II, he was a dairy farmer in the Darlington area. He married Marian Metcalf in 1952. He was a member of the Wiota Fire Department.
Surviving are his wife; two sons, Alan and Ardell, and three daughters, Audrey, Annette, and Anita all at home; his mother, Mrs. Floyd Saalsaa, Argyle; his grandmother, Mrs. Kitty Downs, Benton; and five sisters, Mrs. Glenn Mummert, Mrs. LaVerne Carpenter, and Mrs. Paul Saalsaa, Darlington; Mrs. Ordean Olson, Mineral Point; and Mrs. Myron Erickson, Argyle.
The funeral will be at 1:30 pm Monday in Darlington Methodist church Friends may call after 2 pm today at the Sharer Funeral Home.
