Mrs. Charlotte Pugh
Died, at the home of her son-in-law, William Sherlock, near Flagler, on Wednesday, October 28, at 2 p.m., Charlotte Pugh, aged 78 years and 9 months. Death resulted from congestion of the liver and general derangement of the stomach.
Deceased was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, in February, 1825, and grew to womanhood in that city, where she was united in marriage to Mr. Thurston. She came to Iowa and married John Pugh, Nov. 2, 1854 Marion, Iowa . From him she had been divorced for many years. The living children by that marriage are Ed Pugh and Mrs. Harriet Sherlock.
Mrs. Pugh had been a resident of Marion county for the past forty years. The past ten years, with the exception of a few months of her sickness, she was a resident of Knoxville.
Rev. Loveall, of this city, conducted funeral services at the house, Friday; interment in Graceland.
