Locust Dale Man Dies At Hospital Here
William Herbert, 59, of Locust Dale, died this morning at 4:15 o'clock in the Ashland State Hospital, where he had been patient suffering complications.
He was a life long resident of Locust Dale, a carpenter by trade, and worked until a short time ago at the Potts Mine.
He was a man of fine character, well known throughout this section and had a host of friends. His wife died at Locust Dale 22 years ago. He is survived by one son, Lamar, of Ashland.
The following brothers and sisters also survive: Lewis, Richard and Mrs. Frank Fisher, of Shamokin Dam, Mrs. Minnie Stetler, of Middleburg.
The funeral will be held from the home, of Charles Fennessy, Locust Dale, Friday afternoon with services at the home at two o'clock. Director Frank Burke, of Ashland, is in charge.
