Lamar Herbert, 64, of 2039 Centre Street, Ashland, died yesterday afternoon in Rest Haven after a lengthy illness. He was a guest since July 1965.
He was born May 30, 1905 in Locustdale. He was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lamar Herbert. Retired, he was last employed at Potts Colliery, Locustdale. Mr. Herbert was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church, Ashland. His wife, the former Laura Knock, died May 20, 1965. Mr. Herbert was the last member of his im-mediate family.
Surviving are a son, Herbert, Lansdale, a daughter, Mrs. Marion Banning, Hatboro; six grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Private funeral services will be held Friday at the con-venience of the family from Frederick T Kull Funeral Home, Ashland. The clergy of the North Parish will officiate. Interment is in Brock Cemetery, Ashland. John M Cooke, Girardville, has charge.
