Kenneth Sponaugle, 73, of McDowell died at Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg on Saturday, July 28. He was the son of the late Philip and Susan Harper Sponaugle. Services were held Monday at 2 p.m. at the McDowell Presbyterian Church, conducted by Rev. W.H. Zigler of Churchville. Interment was in the McDowell Cemetery on the hill. Survivors include two sisters, Miss. Mary Jane Sponaugle and Miss. Phoebe Sponaugle, at home and several nieces & nephews. Obaugh Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
