Second of six children born to Peter and Hannah B. (Lytle) Brown. Married Henry Elisha Walling 23 November, 1871. Their children were: John P. Walling (1872-1894, married Mary "Mame" LUTZ, one daughter), Flora May (1875-1960, married Eugene RICE, one daughter), Harry Adams (1877-1958, never married, worked as a mining engineer in Alaska), Lenora "Nora" (1881-1960, married Clyde M. SEYMOUR, two children), Clyde E. (1883-1969, married Rosella G. "Zella" Matson, two daughters), Lottie H. (1886-1887), Minnie Hannah (1890-1867, married Charles W. Hollingshead, one son) and Cecil Marie (1895-1968, married Leo Dale Leatherbury, three children). The family moved from Sharon Twp., Medina Co., OH to Sherwood, Branch Co.,MI in March, 1907.
