She was born in Clifton Forge, VA on January 29, 1927 a daughter of the late Yancey and Dorothy Claiborne McCoy
Mrs. Tyler attended the First Baptist Church in Clifton Forge, VA and worked for many years as a Nurses Aide at Liberty House Nursing Home in Clifton Forge, VA
She is survived by one son, Yancy Tyler of Roanoke, VA; two sisters, Mrs. Lena Stevens of Richmond, VA and Mrs. Sara Hughson of Maryland, and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank M. Tyler.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 16, 2002 from the Chapel of Nicely Funeral Home with Rev. Matthew T. Barnette officiating. Interment will follow at a later date in the Red Hill Cemetery, Clifton Forge. The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon until time of service on Saturday.
