GLOUSTER, OHIO

Janie Dixon, 57 of Glouster passed away Friday February 15, 2008 at Doctor's Hospital, Nelsonville. Born December 25, 1950 in Athens County, she was the daughter of the late Charles W. Sr. and Harriett Clark Dixon. She was a member of the Glouster Eagles #468.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Janie (Al) Brooks and Norma (Rob Keeton) Strausbaugh, both of Glouster; 2 grandchildren; 2 brothers, Jimmy Dixon of Pittsburgh, PA and Joey Dixon of Glouster; 5 sisters, Dee Hickman, Alice Ronk, Carolyn Lafallett, Billie Jo Wright, and Shirley Dixon, all of Glouster; sister-in-law, Janet Dixon; brother-in-law, Jim Giroski and John "Duck" Williams; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Betty McDaniel and Gary Braglin; and all of her friends at the Glouster Eagles.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Betty Williams, Norma Jean Dixon, and Mary Giroski; and 2 brothers, Charles Dixon and Larry Wayne Dixon.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday February 22, 2008 at the Morrison Funeral Chapel, Glouster-Bishopville with John Wright officiating. Interment will be in the Glouster Cemetery.

Janie was the daughter of Charles W. Sr. and Harriett Clark Dixon.
