Christopher Luke Brinker (December 17, 1970 – February 8, 2013) was an American film producer and director, best known for his work in the action film "The Boondock Saints" (1999), which starred Sean Patrick Flanery and Norman Reedus. The movie, which developed a cult following, spawned the 2009 sequel "The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day," which Brinker also produced.

Brinker also worked as an actor in a small role in the first "Boondock Saints" film. Better known as Chris to his family and friends, he was co-producer on "Lonely Street" (2008), "The Fix" and "Borough of Kings."

Chris was filming pick-up shots for his new film "Whiskey Bay" in Marina Del Rey when he suffered an aortic aneurysm. The film, currently in post-production for release later this year, would have been Brinker's directorial debut. He was working with his brother Michael on "Whiskey Bay" along with actors Matt Dillon, Kevin Chapman and Willem Dafoe.

Brinker posthumously received the Robert Smalls Indie Vision Award at the recent 7th annual Beaufort, South Carolina, International Film Festival.

Chris was born December 17, 1970 in Luzon in the Phillipines to then Air Force Maj. Michael P. and Sherron (Carroll) Brinker, who had met while both served in the Air Force and were stationed in Germany. He was the youngest of four children born to the couple. Brinker was graduated from Point Loma High School in San Diego, CA, and attended California State University, Los Angeles, and UCLA.

Chris is survived by fiancee Erika Bruun-Anderson; his mother and father, Sherron (Carroll) and Michael P. Brinker; brother Michael J. Brinker; sisters Laura Brinker-White and Brear Cannarsa; and seven nieces and nephews.

He will be remembered for his love for family and passion for filmmaking.
