John's wife was Mary Keep Adams, daughter to Billings Walker(1767-1852) & his wife Hannah Proctor(1778-1868), they are buried in Rushford, Allegheny county, NY

John's parents were Jesse Adams(1775-1845) & his wife Miriam Smith(1777-1830)They are both buried @ Cavendish Center Cemetery in Cavendish, Windsor County, Vermont

John Adams & his wife Mary Keep Adams were married on 12/14/1820 in Chester, Vermont
John Adams & his family moved to Willink(now Elma)NY in 1830. They bought east part of Lots 19 & 20.

John's death certificate says that he died of Asthma & Cancer of the Face & Rectum & that he is buried in Oakwood Cemetery. He had been a farmer & his son Delatus K. Adams was the reporter. It also states that Jesse & Miriam Adams were his parents.

"On Tuesday January 15, a pleasant company of relatives & friends assembled at the residence of Mr & Mrs John Adams of Elma (Billington Road)to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the marriage of that worthy couple. Emigrating from Vermont, they settled on a part of the Holland Land Company purchase, where they have lived for over 53 years. Mr Adams is 83 years & his wife is 5 years younger. Both enjoy good health. May they live long, enjoying the blessing of old age."

John & Mary's children were:
1. Saphronia Adams(1826-1902)married John Adams
2. Deville Walker Adams(1827-1891)married Mary
3. Mortimer Proctor Adams(1828-1911)married Mary Eliza Fairbanks(1833-1917)
4. Delatus Keep Adams(1834 -1919 )
