"Trumbull Adams, whose death is recorded elsewhere, was born in Cavendish, Windsor county, Vermont, April 13, 1805. In April, 1826, he went to New York state and lived eight months, when he returned to Vermont. In April, 1827, he removed to the city of New York, remaining there three months, when he again returned to Vermont. January 5th, 1831, he married Cynthia Tarbell, who was born in Cavendish, July 10th, 1803. They emigrated to Dubuque county, Iowa, in the spring of 1855, returning to Vermont in November of that year. In April, 1856, he returned to Dubuque county, and in November, 1867, went to N.Y., remaining until April 1869, and then came to Manchester, Iowa, and has since resided in this city and in Prairie township, with the exception of six months spent in Vermont in 1873.
Cynthia Adams, his wife, died Sept. 8d, 1818 [could be a typo]. He afterward married Phebe Piper, who died Nov. 21st, 1872. He has had three sons, Ira P. Adams, Walton T. Adams and L.W. Adams, all living but W. T. Adams, who died March 15th, 1894.
The funeral will take place this (Thursday) afternoon, at 2 o'clock at the M. E. church.
