Fred L. Hayth, 83, a retired grocery owner, died Friday at his home, 701 Third Avenue. He had been a resident of Dallas for thirty-one years. Mr. Hayth was born in Terre Haute, Indiana. He worked as an assemblyman for the John Deere Plow Company in Dallas before opening his grocery store at 628 Second Avenue. He retired six years ago.

Services are pending at Suggs Funeral Home, 1001 Second Avenue. Surviving are his wife: three sons, James F. Hayth, Dallas; John B. Hayth, Oklahoma City, Okla., and Maurice F. Hayth, Fort Worth; a brother, Emmett Hayth, Indianapolis, Ind; a sister, Miss Jennie Hayth, Sourlake, Hardin County; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
