Max was a avid hobbyist. He enjoyed Bee keeping, oil painting, wood carving, photography, making pens, gardening, coin and stamp collecting, hunting, fishing and learning to play the organ his most recent hobby was carving canes. Max received multiple awards and medals for his works of art in many contests. He also spent numerous hours of volunteer work. He served in the Army from 1944 to 1946 and served on the Philippine islands as a auto mechanic and received an honorable discharge. Max served in the Jordan River Temple for two years he and Jean also served a 18 month service mission helping others find jobs.
Survived by his wife Jean McKee; sisters Iris, Judy and Sharon (Bill) ; children Craig (Sherri), Valerie (Robert) Spencer, Richard (Corene), Travis (Gillian), Robin (Rob) Upchurch, Curtis, Troy (Jalayne) 25 Grandchildren and 12 Great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank all those who helped with dads care From Quality solace services Steven Audrey and Brian to name a few and all the staff at Mount Olympus care facility.
Preceded in death by Brothers Dwight ,Harry and Donald Daughter Linda Martin; grandchildren Taylor Lyn McKee, Timothy McKee and Nathan McKee.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 15, 2013 at the LDS Church on 8539 South 2200 West, West Jordan, Utah at 11:00a.m. A viewing will be held Thursday, February 14th from 6:00-8:00p.m. and one hour prior to services at the same location. Interment at Redwood Memorial Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah.
