ANDRUS----Nelson, 90, of Roseburg, died June 28, 1970, at a Roseburg Nursing Home. Born Aug. 1, 1879, at Oaksdale, Wash. Married Feb. 2, 1911, at Lookingglass, to Jennie Mae Hart, who preceded him in death in 1952. He had lived in this community most of his life, and had retired from farming. He was a charter member of the Roseburg Assembly of God Church. Survivors are 4 sons, Arthur and Floyd, Roseburg, Ivan, Eugene, Rev. Kenneth, of Emmonak, Alaska: 2 daughters, Violet Burgess, Beaverton, Zerita Rose, Springfield: one sister, Flora Wakefield, Dayton; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grand children; a daughter, Hazel Adams, preceded him in death in 1948. Funeral services will be held Wed. at 1 p. m., at the Long and Shukle Memorial Chapel, with Rev. Howard Flaherty, of the Assembly of God Church officiating. Internment will follow at Lookingglass Cemetery.
