Mary Ann Earl was born in 1820 in Ireland. She immigrated to America when she was a young girl. She married John Robbins in 1839, even though she was 33 years younger than her husband, it wasnt uncommon in the day. She was a housewife for most of her life, after her husband John passed she married Jacob Spaulsbury and they were married until her passing in 1887.

Mary is believed to be the second wife of John Robbins and matriarch of the second Robbins family of Jefferson County. Mary had 9 children:
