Frederick and Dora ( Mueller ) Hacke. Her parents came to this country from Germany, the father being engaged in farming in Iowa until his death, which occurred September 8, 1886. Her mother is still living in Muscatine county and is sixty-eight years of age. There were six children in their family, namely : Louisa, who died in 1895, leaving a husband and two children now living near Nichols ; William, who is married and lives in Johnson county ; Matilda, now the wife of Edward Reusnow, of Chicago, Illinois ; Mary, wife of harry Federmann,of Nichols ;
Emma, now Mrs. HENRY KIRCHNER ; and Frederick, who died in infancy.
Four children have come to brighten the home of Mr. and Mrs. Kirchner : Alvina, who was born January 9, 1897 ; Elsie P., born June 10, 1899 ; Alfred F., born August 14, 1902 ; and Marguerite F., born June 28, 1908

Mrs. Dora Hacke
Nichols. la., March 29.—Dora Miller was born in Grosendorf, Germany, April 12, 1842, and died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Henry Kirchner, at Nichols. Iowa, April 21, 1921, at the age of 79 years and 9 days.
She came to this country in the year 1869. On May 14, 1874, she was united in marriage to Frederick Hacke. To this union were born four children, two having passed away in infancy. Her husband preceded her in death Sept. 8, 1886.
She leaves to mourn her death, Mrs. Mary Fetterman and Mrs. Henry Kirchner, two stepchildren: Wm. Hacke of Lone Tree, Ia., and Mrs. Matilda Reusnow, of Chicago, Ill., fifteen
grandchildren and one nephew, Wm. Banker, of Moline, Ill. She had been a patient sufferer from a complication of diseases for a number of years.
She was a good Christian and was a member of the Lutheran church since childhood.
The funeral services were held from the home at 2 o’clock p.m. Saturday, April 23, conducted by Rev. J. A. Worrel.
