POQUOSON - Bertha Marie Wilkinson Page, 67, passed away Saturday, Jan. 4, 2003, at Bayside of Poquoson after a long illness. Our beloved Mother was called home to be with our Lord. She was a wonderful Mother and Grandmother. All that knew her loved her. She opened her heart and home to everyone. She was full of compassion and love for others. She was known to most as "Mom" or "Granny." She was always there for her family and friends. Her loving and caring ways will never be forgotten. All that knew her will miss her dearly. Mrs. Page was a native of Hampton and Poquoson resident for 40 years. She was a homemaker and member of Messick Baptist Church.

Mrs. Page was preceded in death by her husband of 23 years, James Wilkinson Sr., her husband of 18 years, Eugene Page, three brothers, and three sisters. She is survived by her son, James Thomas Wilkinson Jr. and wife, Ola, of Poquoson; five daughters, Linda Daugherty of Hampton, Julia Shugarts and husband, Jack, of Maryland, Janice Hunt and husband, Kevin, of Hampton, Jane Moore and husband, Roy, of Ohio, and Teresa Wilkinson and husband, Eric, of Illinois; 13 grandchildren, Joseph, Jack III, James, Ottie, David, George, T.C. who she raised as her own, Jennifer, Tillie, Matthew, Jamie, Trae (James III), and Casey; five great-grandchildren, Scott, Tori, Cody, Jay, and Jacquelyn; three sisters, Nettie Moore, Ann Anderson, and Mary Coltrane; one brother, R.C. Morgan; special love to her daughter-in-law Ola; her special friend, Rose; special love and gratitude to Myrtle Goodwine; a host of nieces, nephews, and friends; and her faithful and loyal dog, Rusty.

The family will receive friends 11 a.m. to noon Tuesday at Claytor Rollins Funeral Home followed by a funeral service at noon in the funeral home chapel by the Rev. Donald G. Marsh. Burial will followed at Parklawn Memorial Park, Hampton. At other times the family will be at 128 Ridge Road.
