Betty Ruth Hogan Matthews, 83, died peacefully on Thursday, February 21, 2013, at the residence of David Matthews in Gainesville.
Burial to be held at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Mrs. Matthews was born in Tifton and was the daughter of the late David Hiram Hogan and Mittie Lee Payne Hogan of Chula.
She was married to Homer Matthews, who preceded her in death in 2003.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, John Hogan, Rebecca Baltes, Louise Hiers, E. J. Hogan, David Hogan, Gene Hogan and Frances Aultman.
