The 1850 Census (FamilySearch.org) shows Artemas Allen age 49 living with wife Lucinda, age 38 and children

In 1850 Census the family is shown near the residence of David Brown, Physician. Dr. Brown is known to have lived in Medina Village.
There is a monument to an Artemas and Lucinda Allen in Branch County, Michigan--FAG memorial 7116595. That stone reads Artemas d. 1873, aged 73 and Lucinda d. 1888 aged 75. Oak Grove Cemetery, Coldwater, Michigan.
For Artemis Allen a year of birth of 1800 is indicated by the Branch County tombstone at FAG memorial 7116595 as well as by the 1850 census at FamilySearch.com, showing the likelihood that this is the early Medina Village pioneer.
