HAMILTON, Lucy Lucas Age 88, of McDowell, formerly of Ligon, the widow of Warren G. Hamilton, passed away, Monday, March 22, 2004, at the McDowell Appalachian Regional Hospital.
She was born September 28, 1915, in Music, the daughter of the late Perry Lucas and Cora Estep Lucas. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Free Pentecostal Church at Dwale.
Survivors include one sister, Mary Jones of Ligon, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Betty Sue; and one sister, Opal Akers.
Funeral services for Lucy Hamilton will be conducted Thursday, March 25, at 11 a.m., at the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, Martin, with Clergymen William Jarrell and Bill Tussey Jr., officiating.
Burial will follow in the Burton Cemetery, at Ligon, under the professional care of the Hall Funeral Home. Visitation is at the funeral home.
