Mrs. Victor (Betty) Marshek, 61, of Route 1, Maribel, died unexpectedly Friday, May 3 at Green Bay. Private family funeral services were held at 7 p.m. Sunday evening at Saur Funeral Home, Kellnersville. Rev. Michael Clifford officiated and cremation followed with burial at St. Wenceslaus Cemetery, Greenstreet.
The former Betty Wessely, was born July 21, 1923 at Kewaunee, daughter of the late William and Carmen Mellry Wessely. She married Victor Marshek on August 30, 1941. The couple farmed in the Town of Cooperstown. Mrs. Marshek was a member of WFLA Lodge 114 of Rosecrans.
Surviving are her husband, Victor; two sons and daughters-in-law, Victor Jr. and Charlotte Marshek of Route 1, Brillion and Tony and Shirley Marshek of Route 1, Maribel; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Diane and Edwin Genz of Route 1, Maribel, Sherry and Ted Schoenke of Manitowoc, and Geraldine Marshek of Manitowoc; her step-father, Charles Zeman of Route 1, Maribel; her step-mother, Mrs. Mildred Wessely of Waterloo, Iowa; three half-brothers, Charles Zeman of Newton, Clarence Zeman of Route 2, Cato, Bob Wessely of Waterloo, Iowa; two half-sisters, Mrs. Donald (Joan) Schanke of Manitowoc and Mrs. Augusta Burkart of Waterloo, Iowa and 13 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one grandchild and one brother.
