Clive Parkin Grant, 79, passed away March 18, 1993 from complications after heart surgery. He gave a valiant fight.
Born July 2, 1913 to Joseph Crumb and Mary Jane Parkin Grant in Lovell, Wyoming. Married Catherine Dick, November 18, 1935, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. President Heber J. Grant officiated.
He worked in the Baking Industry for some forty-eight years. Served as a foreman and then Supervisor of the ZCMI Retail Bakery. He served as President of the Utah Retail Bakers Assn. He worked in the freight business for a number of years and the SLC Fire Department. He served as Bishop of the Second Ward in the Liberty Stake and High Council. He served in many positions in the Valley View 7th Ward and Stake. He was a member of the East Mill Creek Chapter of the Sons of Utah Pioneers, serving as president and officer.
Survived by his wife; daughter, Catherine Kaye; sons Raymond Clive, Lynn Dick and wife Kay Pedersen; seven grandchildren, Kevin, Derik, Merredith, Stephanie, Jacquelyn, KayeLynne, Mikal Grant; sisters Alice G. Sheffield, Sun City, Arizona, Mary G. and George Hacking, Brigham City, Utah, Venus G. Croft, Elmonte, California. Preceded in death by parents, sisters Delsa Hale, Virginia Forsey, and Lucy Fox.
Funeral services Monday, March 22nd, 12 Noon, at the Valley View 7th Ward, 2245 East 3900 South, Salt Lake City, Utah. Viewing will be from 11:00 to 11:45 before services and Sunday, 6-8 p.m. at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
