BRIGHAM CITY Mary Grant Hacking, 88, passed away Sunday, September 5, 2004, in Brigham City.
She was born June 25, 1916, in Lovell, Wyoming, a daughter of Joseph Crumb Grant and Mary Jane Parking. Mary married George Robert Hacking on June 25, 1937, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
She was active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many positions, including Relief Society President, Temple Worker, and served a full-time mission in the Boston, Massachusetts Mission. She enjoyed sewing, genealogy, and most of all being with family.
Surviving are children: Margaret (Jack) Pounder, Broome, Australia; Grant (Annette) Hacking, Puerto Rico; David (Marilee) Hacking, Brigham City, Utah; Maryelen (David) Brown, Pleasant Valley, New York; 20 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and two sisters, Alice Sheffield, Phoenix, Arizona and Venus Croft, El Monte, California.
She was preceded in death, by her husband, two sons, and a daughter, a grandson, a brother and three sisters.
Funeral services will be Friday, September 10, at 11 a.m. at Myers Mortuary, 205 South 100 East, Brigham City.
Friends may call on Thursday, September 9, from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Friday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.
Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery.
