Mrs. Wencil (Anna) Shimek, 90, of Maribel, died Sunday, October 22, 1989 at Park Lawn Home, Manitowoc.
The former Anna Reedy was born November 23, 1898 in the Town of Cooperstown, daughter of the late James and Catherine Hickey Reedy. She married Anton Witak on November 23, 1944. He preceded her in death in 1948. She married Wencil Shimek on November 4, 1953.
Survivors include her husband, Wencil; several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, four brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call at Saur Funeral home, Kellnersville, Thursday until the time of services. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home and 10:30 a.m. at St. James Catholic church, Cooperstown. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Thomas Stocker and burial will be in the church cemetery.
