Peter J. Reedy, 761, of 936 N 13th St., Manitowoc, died unexpectedly Thursday evening at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.

Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Monday at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc and the Rev. Anthony Stefl will be celebrant at the solemn requiem high mass at 9:30 a.m. at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc with the Rev. Peter Schneider as deacon and the Rev. Jame Stamborski as sub-deacon. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery, Cooperstown.

Mr. Reedy was born August 26, 1891 in the Town of Cooperstown, son of the late James and Catherine Hickey Reedy. He attended schools at Maribel and October 21, 1917 married the former Alvina Petska at Kellnersville. The couple located on a farm in the Town of Cooperstown and farmed until the family moved to Manitowoc. While farming, Mr. Reedy also worked for six years at Hamilton Mfg. Co., Two Rivers. He was a member of the Holy Name Society at Holy Innocents Church.

Surviving are his wife; two sons, James of Lincoln Park, Mich., and Thomas on the home farm; three daughters, Mrs. Jack Gilbert of Washington D.C., Mrs. Eugene Kaderabek of Seebrook, Md., and Mrs. Paul Hansen of Manitowoc; two brothers, Martin of Maribel and Michael of Los Angeles, Calif; three sisters, Mrs. Fred Lippert of Manitowoc, Mrs. Wencil Shimek of Maribel and Mrs. Joseph Wotruba of Green Bay and 21 grandchildren. A son, Ralph was killed in the Phillipines during World War II.

Friends may call after 3 p.m. Sunday where the Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.
