RICHMOND - Christine Barnes Clemons, 89, of Richmond, died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013. She had lived in Martinsville.
She was born in Virginia to Vester Barnes and Mary Barnes. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, James O. Clemons; and a daughter, Nellrena.
She was a member of Hanover Church of the Nazarene.
Survivin are her children, James Clifford, Charles Otis, Theresa Christine and Wanda Jane; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and a brother, Chester Barnes of Bartlette, Tenn.
The funeral was held Wednesday at Woody Funeral Home in Richmond. Burial was in Greenwood Memorial Cemetery.
