Bernard "Beans" Ward, 71, died Saturday in Los Angeles.
He was born Oct. 3rd 1925, in Pittsburgh, Penn., and had been a long-time resident of Canyon Country. Ward was a member of the Carpenter's union. He served in the seabees during world war II and saw action in the South Pacific campaigns. He was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign wars, Post 6885 in Canyon Country and the Newhall American Legion, Post 507 in Newhall.
He is survived by two sons, John F. Ward and Robert F. Ward, both of Clinton, Ill., and two daughters, Daria L. Ward of Turtle Creek, Penn., and Tracy L. Ward of Clinton, Ill.
A funeral Mass is scheduled 11 am Saturday Oct. 4, at St. Clare Catholic Church, 19606 Calla Way, Canyon Country. In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Clare Catholic Church. Arrangements are being handled by The Neptune Society. The Signal (Santa Clarita, CA.)
