Joseph Diegel Marlette. June 9 — Funeral services for Joseph Diegel, 90, retired Tuscola County farmer who died Tuesday, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church, Marlette. Rev. Francis Murray, pastor, will officiate. Rosary devotions will be conducted at 8 p.m. today in the Marsh Funeral Home, Marlette.
Mr. Diegel was born May 31, 1864 in Wayne County. He married Miss Therisa Baumgartner, May 30, 1888, in Detroit. She died in 1921.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Joseph Oberle, Lapeer; Mrs. Gordon Warner and Mrs. Joyce Downey, both of Ecorse; four sons, Edwin, Hudson; Norman, Lapeer; Wilfrid, River Rouge, and C. A. Diegel, Silverwood; two sisters, Mrs. Amelia Fay and Mrs. Stella LaPorte, both of Hart; 34 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren.
Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Clifford. Remains are in the funeral home.
