Notes From Greenstreet:
This vicinity was greatly shocked on Saturday evening when news reached here from St. Vincent's hospital, Green Bay, of the death of Charles Zeman, a well known and highly esteemed young man of this vicinity, aged twenty-two years. A life full of promise and sunshine has passed away in its prime and feelings of deepest sorrow and sympathy were in the hearts of all who knew him. His death was a sad blow to the family. Although the end was not unexpected, the spark of hope still burned in their bosom. Several weeks ago he became ill with a severe case of the mumps. Although under medical care, his condition became worse daily and his brain became affected, making life to him and the presence of his beloved ones, who were constantly at his bedside, a total blank. Two weeks ago he was removed to St. Vincent's hospital where he was under the care of physicians and skilled nurses, but of no avail and death came to relieve his sufferings.

Charles was a young man of good character, and his mild and sunny disposition won for him many friends both among the young and old. For several years he had been employed as cabinet maker at the Manitowoc Seating Co. and was well liked by all his fellow workmen.

His mother, two sisters and five brothers survive to mourn his untimely death also a large circle of relatives.

His remains were laid to rest here, at St. Wencel's Catholic cemetery on Tuesday morning beside the remains of his father who preceded him in death some twenty years ago. Rev. Cipin performed the last sad rites. The bereaved family have the sympathy of all who know them.
