Anthony Dugo,15 year old son of Mr.and Mrs. James Dugo of River Street, met death Saturday night when he was asphyxiated by carbon monoxide gas in the bathroom of his home and afterwards his body was badly burned when he fell against a hot water heater.
The body was found by an older brother, Angelo Dugo, who made an investigation at the request of their invalid mother whose suspicions were aroused by reason of the fact the boy had been in the room more than three hours. According to the mother the boy went into the room about 2:30 supposedly to take a bath and wash out some clothes, When he failed to come out after a reasonable length of time the mother became worried bur inasmuch as she was alone there was nothing she could do. As soon as the older brother came in she sent him to see what was wrong.
It was neccessary to force the bathroom door and for a few minutes it was impossible to enter the room on account of the fumes.
indications are the boy had taken a bath and before getting dressed had been washing out some articles of clothing in front of the sink with his back to the heater. As he was overcome he evidently slumped to the floor and hit the heater.
The boy was a member of the graduating class of St. Ann's parocial school, and was considered a very brilliant student. Recently he was awarded a medal for penmanship and more recently it was reported he had won additional honors in a drawing contest. The mother is seriously ill and has the sympathy of the entire community is extended the bereaved family.
He was predeacesed by a brother, Sebastiano.
Besides his parents he is survived by three brothers and two sisters, Angelo, Paul, Floyd, Mary and Carmella.

* His death record states that his birth was November 16, 1911 and his headstone states November 21, 1927, and as I do not know which is correct, I have added this footnote.
