NAMPA — Ray Floyd Harrah, 90, of Nampa, died Wednesday, March 22, 1989, in a Nampa nursing home of natural causes.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 28, at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell. The Rev. Raymond A. Thompson of the Caldwell United Methodist Church will officiate. Arrangements are under direction of the Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
Mr. Harrah was born Sept. 15, 1898, at White Bird, Idaho, a son of Wilbur J. and Katheryn Warfield Harrah. He was raised and educated in White Bird. His first marriage was to Viola Nichol, and they were later divorced. He later married Winifred May Gibbens on Nov. 24, 1925, at Caldwell. They farmed in the Lake Lowell and Sunny Slope areas for several years, and later owned and operated a farm at Adrian, Ore. In 1949, they purchased a farm at Kuna where they farmed until 1972, at which time they moved to Nampa where they had since resided. Mrs. Harrah died Feb. 14, 1989.
Survivors include two sons, James Harrah of Cupertino, Calif., and Robert Harrah of Sacramento, Calif.; six sisters; several grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and family members by marriage. In addition to his wife, Winifred, he was also preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.
Memorials may be made to the Mountain States Tumor Institute, 151 E. Bannock St., Boise 83712; or to a favorite charity.
Friends may call Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Dakan Funeral Chapel in Caldwell.
